We are a small kennel of pure English breeding established 40 years ago and  situated in Kendal, the gateway to the English Lake District; an area of outstanding, natural beauty (Coniston Water pictured).

My dogs are my pets first, showdogs second. They all live in the house with us and run and play freely together. Cages are used only for travelling and at shows. Health, temperament and soundness are my main priorities.

When my dogs are retired from the show ring, their coats are clipped and they spend a happy retirement here. They are not placed in pet homes. Consequently, I always have a number of “pensioners” at any given time and my “oldies” give me a great deal of pleasure.

These days, showing just does not seem to be as important as it used to be. I prefer to enjoy my dogs at home and show only selectively. I still breed the occasional litter as I love having puppies around and the challenge to produce the “near perfect” Shih Tzu is still ever present!
